The Full Story
About Me
Hello! And welcome to Me & My Neurodivergent Brain. My name is Andrea and I'm a 21-year-old neurodivergent in the process of finally getting a diagnosis -- even if it is a late one. I created this blog after my psychologist recommended I canalized my love for writing and research to bring awareness to mental health and all its spectrums.

A Little About Me
I was born on December 22nd twenty-one years ago in the island of Puerto Rico (Capricorn cusp date). I grew up being a very creative child, with musical and artistic influences from both sides of my family. I've always gravitated towards hobbies and interests that allow my artistic self expression. Such as: digital art (check out my Etsy shop), woodwork, singing, and much more.
How I Got Here
All my life I've spent feeling like I didn't quite fit in with my environment. I had no idea of the neurodivergent world or what was my place in it. But as social media grew, and the information available became more and more accessible, I was able to start my journey into figuring out why my brain worked differently than others around me. Now as I await a diagnosis, and by recommendation of my psychologist, I started this blog to bring awareness of the neurodivergent disorders and how to navigate them in a world made for and by neurotypicals.
As of November 2021, I am undergoing evaluations for different neurodivergent disorders such as ASD, ADHD, anxiety, and others. I will be documenting my process to finally put a name to what I have been going through. And if I can help even if just one person, my work will achieve its mission.
